Both Houses of Parliament’s Speakers agreed to merge Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha television. Venkaiah Naidu, Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, and Om Birla, Speaker of the Lok Sabha, have agreed to merge the two into Parliament TV. The Lok Sabha Secretariat has released a circular appointing Ravi Kapoor, a former IAS officer, as CEO of Sansad TV for a year beginning March 1, 2021. Licensing proposals will be submitted to the government shortly. Despite the merger of the two networks, secretariat officials from both houses clarified that the programs of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha will continue to broadcast and operate on the same platform throughout the joint session.

Employment of Local Candidates Bill: Important Current Affairs Of Today
The ‘Haryana State Employment of Local Candidates Bill – 2020’ has been approved by Haryana Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya. It will provide local unemployed youth with a 75% reservation in private sector employment in the state. Manohar Lal Khattar, the state’s chief minister, announced this on March 2. The Haryana Assembly passed the bill last year. According to the bill, locals who earn less than Rs. 50,000 per month in private companies in the state will receive 75% reservation and ten-year job protection. Furthermore, it provides local unemployed youth with job reservations in the private sector.

Pension Scheme for Trees Over 70 years: Today Latest Current Affairs In English
The Haryana government has agreed to give money to trees that are more than 70 years old. Kanwarpal Gurjar, the state forest minister, came up with the idea, which is now being implemented. This new experiment has been done by the Forest Department to save the environment and trees and plants. The aim is to stop the increasing pollution in a timely manner. Officials with the Forest Service said that directives had been given to recognize trees that were more than 70 years old. He said that neem, mango, guava, Indian rosewood, sage, and raavi trees will receive pensions. The scheme does not apply to eucalyptus and chinaberry trees. With the new initiative, the Haryana government is providing some benefits to trees.
