Now India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) becomes the country’s single biggest platform for offering its customers with interoperable banking services. The users of Aadhaar enabled payment system (AePS) can now access their accounts with any bank using their fingerprint for money withdrawal and balance inquiry through the Postmen and GDS at their doorstep. IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, who announced the rollout, said that by next year IPPB should aim to have five crore clients on its platform. He also said the direct benefit transfer (DBT) schemes of the government should also be accessible on the IPPB platform as well.
