Exercise Maitree-2019: Sep 13th Current Affairs
Exercise MAITREE is the Army exercise between India and Thailand. MAITREE-2019 is the 3rd military exercise between these two countries. Each country will share the experienced operations while facing terrorism. Both will get trained for the use of new weapons and changes in the war weapons. This exercise is going to held between 16 to 29th Sep 2019 at Meghalaya Foreign Training Node. This training will improve the military security for India and Thailand. Mainly, India is facing the global terrorism country Pakistan. Nearly 100 Soldiers from India and 100 from Thailand are participating in the MAITREE-2019.
13th September 2019 Current Affairs: Ferozeshah Stadium as Arun Jaitley Stadium
Indian BJP Government has named the Ferozshah Kotla stadium as Arun Jaitley stadium. Due to the death of former finance minister Arun Jaitley, Delhi and District Cricket Association changed the name. Previously, Jaitley worked as a president for the DDCA for 13 years from the year 1999 to 2013. Union Home minister Amit Shah, and Kiren Rijiju who is the sports affairs minister are the special guest. Former cricket Kapil Dev and many cricketers have participated in the event. DDCA President Rajat Sharma was spoken about the Arun Jaitley that he made the cricket as his passion and created a path for great cricketers Virat Kohli, Pant, Dhawan. In memory of his name, Ferozshah is named Arun Jaitley Stadium.

World Energy Congress is running over 150 countries since 1924. Because Congress is the longest-running and most influential energy event in the world. The 24th World Energy Congress was held in Abu Dhabi, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 9-12th September 2019. The major aim is to group the international energy stakeholders, including governments, private and state corporations, academia and media. It was caught at the patronage of Sheik Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE. This event can be called as World Energy Council. The Dau Tieng Solar Power Plant is the largest solar project in Asia. In Vietnam on Sep 12th, It was started at the riverside. It will generate the 420 MegaWatts of Solar power. Vietnam is trying hard to get the investors to invest the money in the hydropower plants and also for the development of thermal powerplants. It is also planning to develop renewable sources to supply power for a low cost. The company officials said that emissions of carbon dioxide will be reduced. The Solar project was constructed on the Dau Tieng Reservoir side which is the largest artificial lake in Vietnam. This project will create 10 percent of the country’s solar energy and it can be supplied to 3 lakh homes.
