The New Head of the NSF: Today Gk Affairs
MA Ganapathi, a senior IPS officer, has been named as the Director-General of the National Security Force (NSF), while Kuldeep Singh has been named as the Director-General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). On March 16, 2021, the Union Ministry of Personnel Affairs released orders. Ganapathi is the Director-General of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security at the moment (BCAS). From the date of his appointment until February 29, 2024, he will hold the position. Kuldeep Singh is a West Bengal cadre officer from the 1986 batch. Kuldeep will serve as the CRPF’s DG until September 30, 2022. Finally, A P Maheshwari will be replaced by Kuldeep Singh.
Modi’s Chief Adviser Sinha Resigned: Today Latest Current Affairs
PK Sinha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s chief advisor, has resigned. From 2019 onwards, retired IAS Sinha of the 1977 batch has remained in that role. Official orders state that Sinha will remain Modi’s chief advisor for as long as the prime minister is in office or until further orders. He started his career in the PMO as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) and later promoted to Principal Advisor. Sinha served as a Secretary in the Ministry of Power before joining the PMO. Sinha is a retired Uttar Pradesh IAS officer from the 1977 batch. PK Mishra, a former Gujarat cadre IAS officer, will currently serve as the Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary.

Rajya Sabha Approved Abortion Amendment Bill: Current Affairs 2021
The Rajya Sabha has passed a bill to extend the time limit on abortion. The Act has been amended by the Center to allow abortion for up to 24 weeks. The bill was revised and approved by the Union Cabinet last year. The bill was also approved by the Lok Sabha. The Rajya Sabha recently approved it. Previously, there was just a 20-week duration for abortion. The bill was revised, however, to include relief to rape victims, minors who have been sexually assaulted, and the disabled. The abortion amendment bill was declared by Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh. Harshavardhan, the Union Health Minister, said that the bill would protect women’s self-esteem.

The Indian Army and Air Force received the first kit from Kalyani Rafale Advanced Systems (KRAS), which produced a key component of the surface-to-air intercontinental ballistic missile (MRSAM). Raphael Advanced Defense Systems of Israel and KRAS have collaborated to form the Kalyani Group of India. A manufacturing facility near Hyderabad is producing the kits. Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) has been associated with thoroughly developing and preparing it for its intended use. The company has signed a contract worth about Rs. 730 crore to produce and supply kits for 1,000 MRSAMs. Rudra Jadeja, the CEO of KRAS, said that 1,000 missiles can be delivered in four years.
