Puducherry Chief Minister Resigned: Free Current Affairs Of Today
In the Union Territory of Puducherry, the Congress government collapsed. Chief Minister V Narayanaswamy has struggled to prove strength. There are 30 MLAs and three nominated MLAs in Puducherry. A Comprehensive Economic Cooperation and Partnership Agreement (CECPA) with the African nation of Mauritius was signed by India on 22 February. The Mauritius agreement, which has a strategic position on the African continent, will pave the way for the expansion of Indian trade. This is the first time that such an agreement with an African country has been signed by India. The agreement was reached at a meeting in the capital of Mauritius, Port Louis. Prime Minister Pravind Jugnath of Mauritius and Foreign Minister S Jaishankar of India were present at the event. The CECPA Agreement seeks to expand trade opportunities for the products and services of both India and Mauritius.
