Indigenous Aircraft Carrier Vikrant: Today Current Affairs in English
During an onboard visit at sea on October 31st, Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal evaluated the development of the indigenous aircraft carrier ‘Vikrant”s sea trials. Vikrant was designed by the Directorate of Naval Design (DND) of the Indian Navy and is being constructed at Cochin Shipyard Ltd. (CSL). On October 24, the ship headed out for the second round of sea testing. According to the Indian Navy, the ship is presently in the second phase of sea trials, which includes extensive trials and testing of propulsion equipment, electrical and electronics suites, deck machinery, lifesaving appliances, and ship systems. Following the sea testing, the minister pressured Cochin Shipyard Ltd to deliver the ship on schedule in April 2022 so that it could be commissioned by August 2022 to mark the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.’

World Deaf Judo Championship: Current Affairs 2021
The J&K deaf team earned first place in the World Deaf Judo Championship held in Paris Versailles, France, in yet another shot in the arm for J&K sports performance.
