Nizamuddin Basti Project: Latest Current Affairs Today
The Nizamuddin Basti Project just received two UNESCO Heritage Awards. The project was recognized for its environmental initiatives. Flipkart and India’s Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM). By integrating local companies and self-help groups (SHGs) into the e-commerce fold, the government and Flipkart want to empower them. The Memorandum of Understanding is part of Flipkart’s Samarth initiative. It was struck with the goal of providing national market access to skilled and underserved communities of weavers, craftspeople, and artisans through the Flipkart marketplace. Centenary Celebrations: Latest in Current Affairs
From the 4th of December, the Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee, PAC will commemorate its 100th anniversary. President Ram Nath Kovind will open the two-day Centenary Celebrations on 04th December in the Central Hall of Parliament, according to PAC Chairman Adhir Ranjan Choudhury. On the 7th of December, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, to dedicate development projects worth over 9,600 crore rupees to the country. On July 22, 2016, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the Gorakhpur Fertilizer Plant, which would be dedicated to the country. It was reopened and reconstructed at a cost of around Rs. 8,600 crore after being shuttered for more than 30 years. Project renovation of the Fertilizer Plant is motivated by the Prime Minister’s objective of reaching urea self-sufficiency. The Gorakhpur Plant may generate 12.7 million metric tonnes of native neem-coated urea per year.
