New Director Of Gates: Important Current Affairs For Banking
Kalpana Kochhar, a leading Indian economist, has been named Director of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. She will lead the department of Development Policy and Finance as a director. On July 30, Kalpana will leave her position as chief of human resources at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). In 1988, She began her work as an economist at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Besides, Kochhar has worked at the IMF in various capacities for nearly three decades. She was instrumental in the hiring of almost 4,000 personnel for the IMF’s US and international operations. The IMF has profited significantly from Kalpana’s HR decisions. Finally, Kochhar will join Gates as director of the foundation.

Project – 75 India Program: Latest Current Affairs For Today
To further strengthen the navy, the Indian Ministry of Defense approved the long-awaited “Make in India project” P-75 India. Under the submarine-building project P-75 India, six submarines are planned to be produced. This project has been approved by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. This project will be undertaken jointly by L&T and the Public Sector Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL). The Indian Navy has 15 submarines, including two nuclear submarines. The Navy intends to buy 24 submarines, six of which will be nuclear submarines. These submarines will also have a propulsion mechanism that is not dependent on air. In addition, the Defense Ministry has allocated a budget of Rs 6000 crore for the Indian Army’s indigenous air defense guns.

Tech Eagle, a leading drone delivery company, recently got approval to deliver vaccines by drone in locations covered by the ‘Medicine from the Sky’ project. This initiative is being supported by the World Economic Forum, Niti Aayog-Apollo Hospitals, and the Telangana government. This enables the use of vaccines as well as other critical treatments. Drone transportation, according to experts, is especially useful in locations where road connectivity is limited. The Haryana government has launched the ‘Oxy Van‘ Model Scheme to ensure that everyone gets access to fresh air. CM Manohar Lal launched off the project by planting Panchavati saplings on Mughal Canal property in Sector-4. Under this plan, a 2.4-kilometer stretch of the Mughal Canal in Karnal will be renamed ‘Oxy Van.’ There will be ten components to the forest, which will be developed on an area of 80 acres. On World Environment Day, the Forest Department decided to preserve the name Oxy Van after the names of ten forest components that will be established here. As a result, by the following Environment Day, the state would have planted three crore trees. Manohar Lal also launched the Haryana Pran Vayu Devta Pension Scheme.
