56 transport aircraft for Indian Air Force: Free Current Affairs Of Today
On September 8, the Cabinet Committee on Security approved the purchase of 56 C-295MW freight planes for the Indian Air Force. These 56transport aircraft are approved as part of the “Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.” Within 48 months of signing the contract, 16 aircraft will be delivered in flyaway condition from Spain. While 40 will be produced in India by TATA Consortium within ten years of the contract’s execution. The indigenous Electronic Warfare Suite will be implemented on all 56 aircraft.
