According to an AIR journalist, the state government is establishing a university in the memory and honor of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh at a total area of around 92 acres in Aligarh’s Kol tehsil’s village Lodha and Musepur Kareem Jarouli. 395 colleges of the Aligarh Division are affiliated.

“Adarsh Gram Yojna”: Today Current Affairs
Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda announced that his ministry would launch the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojna, which will cover 36 thousand villages across the country. The Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana (PMAGY) is a rural development program started by the central government in the fiscal year 2009–10 to develop villages with a large percentage of citizens belonging to the scheduled castes (above 50%). In Assam, 1,700 tribal communities will be turned into model villages, he said. According to the Minister, 184 new Van Dhan Kendras will be established in the state, benefiting almost 60 thousand people.
