Development of Agartala: Daily GK Current Affairs
On November 15th, the Union Government and the Asian Development Bank, ADB, agreed to a 61-million-dollar loan to enhance usability, harness technology, and inspire new initiatives in Agartala, as well as strengthen the capacity of state institutions for better service delivery. Rajat Kumar Mishra, Additional Secretary in the Finance Ministry’s Department of Economic Affairs, and Takeo Konishi, Country Director of the Asian Development Bank’s India Resident Mission, signed the agreement. Mr. Mishra started after signing the loan agreement that the project is in line with the vision of the Centre’s Smart City Mission to upgrade urban infrastructure services and that it will improve livability in Agartala by providing better road connectivity, flood-resistant measures, and making tourist attractions more desirable.

41st Scientific Expedition: Today Latest Current affairs
The 41st Scientific Expedition to Antarctica was launched by India. It is involved with the arrival of the first batch of its people on the southern white continent. The first group of 23 scientists and support staff arrived at the Indian Antarctic Station Maitri on Monday, 15th November. There are two key programs for the 41st expedition. At Bharati Station, the initial mission includes geological research of the Amery ice shelf. The second mission included reconnaissance surveys and preparations for a 500-meter ice core drilling at Maitri. It will aid in the comprehension of the Antarctic climate. Since its establishment in 1981, India’s Antarctic program has undertaken 40 Scientific Expeditions. Dakshin Gangotri, Maitri, and Bharati are the names of three permanent research base stations created by India in Antarctica.

This year 2021, The All India Presiding Officers’ Conference (AIPOC), the top body of India’s parliament, celebrates its 100th anniversary. The 82nd All India Presiding Officers’ Conference will be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will through a video conference on November 17th. For this conference, Shimla hosted the first All India Presiding Officers’ Conference (AIPOC) in 1921, and the conference is currently in its seventh year. Every Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Himachal Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur, and Rajya Sabha’s Deputy Chairman, Harivansh Narayan Singh will address this event.
