New Solicitor of US Labor Department: Gk Current Affairs 2021
Seema Nanda, an Indian-origin civil rights lawyer, has been named as the new US Labor Department’s solicitor. By a vote of 53 to 46, the Senate has approved her appointment. Nanda, the former head of the Democratic National Committee, worked in the Obama administration’s Labor Department. On the other hand, Seema will be crucial in combating legal disputes and challenges. Nanda has also served as the head of the US Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division in the Office of Migrant and Employee Rights Section. Nanda is presently a Harvard Law School Fellow in the Labor and Worklife Program. Seema eventually rose to the post of Solicitor.

The Godavari, Krishna River Management Board: Latest In Current Affairs
The Godavari and Krishna River Management Boards have been recognized by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, giving them broader authority to implement, manage, operate, and maintain the projects listed. Journalist Danish Siddiqui Passed Away: Today Current Affairs
Danish Siddiqui, an Indian journalist who paved the way for brave journalism around the world, has died. He was a photojournalist for Reuters, the world’s most well-known news agency. In the Spin Boldak region of Kandahar city, he was killed while covering battles between the Afghan army and the Taliban. The death of Pulitzer Prize winner Danish Siddiqui was mourned by the International Press Institute (IPI), a global network of media professionals. In 2018, he was awarded the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography. He also covered important events in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, including the Afghan conflict, Hong Kong demonstrations, and other key events in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

SCO Meeting 2021: Free Current Affairs Of The Day
Dr. S Jaishankar, India’s External Affairs Minister, met with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Previously, Both leaders would be present at the SCO summit. Jaishankar and Wang Yi had previously met on the sidelines of the SCO meeting in Moscow. This gathering is being conducted a year after the accident in Galvan Valley. Due to Chinese military gatherings in the eastern Ladakh region, tensions between the two countries have been high since May 2021. Military tensions reached an all-time high in mid-June when 20 Indian soldiers were killed in a clash in the Galvan Valley. As a result, with the SCO summit in 2021, both countries are able to maintain peace following the attacks.
