Ballistic Missile: Latest in Current Affairs
On December 18, 2021, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) recently demonstrated the ‘Agni P’, the latest-generation nuclear-capable ballistic missile. The launch site for Agni P. was Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s island off the coast of Odisha. The missile’s course and characteristics were observed and tracked by several telemetries, electro-optical stations, radar, and downrange ships positioned along the eastern coast. Agni P followed a well-defined path and completed all of the mission’s objectives with superb accuracy. Agni P is a two-stage solid-propellant ballistic missile with a redundant guidance and navigation system. The Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) developed it to replace the Agni-I and Agni-II missiles.

Plastic Wastes: Current Affairs 2021
The National Cadet Corps and the National Highways Authority of India have agreed to recycle plastic garbage collected by NCC Cadets during the Puneet Sagar Abhiyan and other Swachhta programs. The collected plastic garbage will be given to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for use in road building across the country. Director General NCC, DG Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh, and NHAI Chief General Manager Sushil Kumar Mishra signed and exchanged the MoUon December 17th. Three lakh forty thousand cadets from 127 NCC Units in the coastal area are taking part in the month-long program. So far, cadets from various places in these areas have gathered about six tonnes of plastic debris.
