Tamil Writer K Rajnarayanan Passed Away: Gk Current Affairs For UPSC
K.K. Rajnarayanan, a Tamil author and Sahitya Akademi Awardee, died. He was popularly known as ‘Ki Ra‘. He was born in the village of Idaiaseval near Kovilpatti in Tamil Nadu’s Tuticorin district in 1923. In the 1980s, Rajnarayanan was a professor at Pondicherry University’s Department of Public Literature. In 1991, he was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award for his novel “Gopalapuratu Makkal.” Tamil writers have requested that Rajnarayanan House be transformed into a memory library, according to the Lieutenant Governor. The death of the writer Rajnarayanan was also mourned by Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin.
