New MD Of HCL: Latest In Current Affairs
C Vijayakumar has been named as the new MD of HCL. Shiv Nadar, a pioneer in the creation of IT, has resigned as HCL Technologies’ Managing Director and Board Member. Shiv Nadar is the world’s 65th richest person. With effect from July 20, Vijayakumar will remain as the company’s CEO and MD for a five-year term. Nadar will serve on the board of directors as Chairman Emeritus and Strategic Advisor. HCL was formed by Nadar in 1976 as a technological hardware firm. This resulted in the country’s first indigenous computers, which went on to become a global leader in advanced software services. Nadar was replaced by his daughter Roshini in July 2020. Vijayakumar will now be the new MD.
