New CBI Chief: Important Current Affairs For Govt Exams
Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, an IPS officer, has been appointed as director of the Central Bureau of Investigation. He was named by the Central Personnel Affairs Ministry and will serve in this position for the next two years. Jaiswal is the Director-General of the Central Industrial Security Force and was a member of the 1985 batch. Jaiswal was the Maharashtra DGP in the past years. He served as Mumbai Commissioner for nine years. He was the head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that looked into the counterfeit stamp papers scam in 2002. The CBI director, Rishi Kumar Shukla, retired on February 3 of this year. Since then, Additional Director Praveen Sinha has been acting Director. Finally, Jaiswal was chosen to lead the CBI.

Music Director Ram Laxman Passed Away: Daily Current Affairs
Ram Lakshman, the music director of films such as ‘Hum Aapke Hai Kaun,’ died in Nagpur. Ram was born in a middle-class family on September 16, 1942, and his real name was Vijay Patil. Along with his brother Surendra Patil, he changed his name to Ram Laxman. In 1975, Laxman and Surendra Patil entered the music industry. He has composed music for both Hindi and Marathi films. For his songs, he received a Filmfare Award for Best Music Composer. He also made his Bollywood debut in the 1975 film ‘Pandu Havaldar,’ directed by Dada Konde.
