Defense Budget 2021: 01 February 2021 Current Affairs
The Minister of Finance has again declared an increase in the Defense Budget. This is the 7th consecutive year that the defense budget has been raised by the Modi government. In 2021-22, an allocation of 4 lakh 78 thousand 196 crores was made for the defense budget. If the value of the pension is deducted from this, then it is around Rs 3.62 lakh crore.
In contrast to last year’s budget, the defense budget rose almost 7.4 percent. The government assigned Rs 4.71 lakh crore to the defense budget last year. This sum was Rs 3.37 lakh crore last year after the separation of pensions.
