Ministry Of Skills Development Joins Hands With Microsoft And NASSCOM For Digital Learning Content At ITIs: 27 December 2020 Current Affairs
The Directorate General of training, following the Ministry of Skills Growth and Entrepreneurship (DGT), has joined forces with Microsoft and the NASSCOM Foundation to offer digital learning material to students at industrial training institutes (ITIs). This digitized e-learning module will support nearly 1,20,000 students in about 3,000 ITIs across India through the Bharat Skills portal. By linking the Global Skilling Initiative (GSI) via the Bharat Skills website, Microsoft has also facilitated access to the free content available on the Microsoft Learn platform for over 24 lakh students in the ITI ecosystem. In addition, it supports the digitization through the NASSCOM Base of the entire content of a common course-‘Computer Operating and Programming Assistant ‘(COPA).
