Educational Qualifications – APTET Recruitment 2025

• For Paper 1A (Classes I–V, Regular Schools), candidates need Intermediate with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) along with a 2-year D.El.Ed or 4-year B.El.Ed, while Paper 1B (Special Schools) requires Intermediate with 50% marks and an RCI-recognized 2-year Special Education D.Ed. For Paper 2A (Classes VI–VIII, Regular Schools), applicants must have Graduation with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) and a B.Ed, whereas Paper 2B (Special Schools) requires Graduation or Post-Graduation with 50% marks and an RCI-approved Special Education B.Ed.Final-semester teacher education students may apply but must complete their course before recruitment.

Selection Process

• The AP TET is a qualifying examination for candidates aspiring to apply for teaching posts for Classes I to VIII in Government Schools of Andhra Pradesh. The final selection process may vary depending on the specific school or recruitment board. The AP TET exam consists of two main papers, designed to assess eligibility for both regular and special education teaching positions.
• Paper I A is for candidates aiming to teach Classes I to V in regular schools. This paper consists of 150 objective questions, carrying a total of 150 marks.
