Coronavirus: WHO increases the risk from moderate to high globally
- The World Health Organization arrived in China on 27 January 2020 to discuss ways in which the Corona Virus is spreading.

Govt took the law of citizenship to correct historical injustice | PM Modi rallying at NCC
- On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the government had introduced the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). It is to rectify “historical injustice” and fulfill the “existing pledge” made by the BJP to religious minorities residing in adjacent countries.
- The PM, who spoke at the annual National Cadet Corps (NCC) protest, said the new government was trying to address the country’s decades-old problems.
- He said the previous governments had treated the issue as a question of law and order.
- The act allows citizenship for Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Jains, Parsis, Christians in Afghanistan, Bangladesh,

- The fourth state to pass anti-CAA resolution is West Bengal on January 27, 2020. The law is against the constitution and humanity stated by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
- Both Congress and CPI(M) led-Left Front parties gave support to the resolution, and the BJP party is opposed to it.
- Previously the state assembly has passed a similar resolution in September 2019. Four states have passed resolutions, including West Bengal demanding the rollback of the Citizenship Amendment Act.
