Operation Samudra Setu-II: Daily Gk Current Affairs
Operation Samudra Setu-II has been launched by the Indian Navy to carry oxygen and other medical supplies from friendly countries. Deputy Chief of Naval Staff Admiral MS Pawar said that 9 warships have been sent to various ports in the area, including Kuwait in the west and Singapore in the east. On the 6th of May, an Indian Navy warship, the INS-Talwar, arrived in Mangalore Port, Karnataka, with 54 tonnes of oxygen imported from abroad. In addition, Airavat is bringing liquid oxygen back to India from Singapore and INS Kolkata Kuwait. Last year, the Indian Navy launched Operation Samudra Setu to return distressed civilians from IOR (Indian Ocean Rim Association) countries.
