DRDO Successfully Tested Pinaka Rocket: Today Current Affairs In English
The DRDO has expanded the level of the Pinaka rocket that has been developed by indigenous groups. The test was successfully carried out in Chandipur, Odisha on June 24 and 25. The 122 mm sized missile has been fired by a Launcher Multi Barrel (MBRL). The Pinaka rocket system can reach targets within a range of up to 45 km. The rocket system was developed with support from Economic Explosives Limited, Nagpur by the Ordnance Research and Design Institute (ORDE) and the High Energy Materials Research Laboratory.
