Rs 423 Cr Worth Of Contract with the US: Today GK Affairs
On Friday, October 22nd, the Indian Navy inked a deal with the US government under the Foreign Military Sale (FMS) program for the acquisition of MK 54 torpedoes and expendable chaff and flares. The P-8I aircraft is equipped with these armaments for long-range maritime surveillance, anti-submarine warfare, and anti-surface warfare. Sovereign Gold Bonds: Current Affairs 2021
From October 2021 to March 2022, the Centre, in conjunction with the RBI, has decided to issue four tranches of Sovereign Gold Bonds. The selling of bonds will be limited to residents, HUFs, Trusts, Universities, and Charitable Institutions. The price of the Bond will be determined using a simple average of the past three working days of the week preceding the subscription period, as announced by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association Limited.
