NHPC Trainee Engineer – Job Vacancy Details

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must have completed B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Indian University/Institute approved by AICTE with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade, or AMIE (enrollment up to 31.05.2013) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade. Electrical discipline includes Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Power Systems & High Voltage, and Power Engineering, while Mechanical discipline includes Mechanical, Production, Thermal, and Mechanical & Automation Engineering.

Selection Process

The selection process will be based on the normalized marks (out of 100) obtained in the relevant paper of GATE 2024 or GATE 2025 (best score considered), followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview. A Psychometric Assessment may also be conducted as part of the recruitment process.

Salary 

• Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 50,000 – 3% – 1,60,000 (IDA) (E2) during the one-year training period.
• After successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed as Engineer/Officer in the same pay scale with a probation period of one year.
• The total annual emoluments for newly joined candidates will be approximately Rs. 15 to 16 Lakhs per year.
• Additional benefits include Dearness Allowance (DA), HRA, Cafeteria Allowance, Performance Related Pay (PRP), Medical Facilities, Provident Fund (PF), Pension, and Gratuity as per company rules.
