National Testing Agency Exam Notification 2020
On behalf of the University Grants Commission, National Eligibility Test is a national level exam conducted by the National Testing Agency to select the candidates for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship. As per the announcement the last date of online application for the UGC NET exam is on 16th April 2020. The candidate is subjected to submit only one application form. The exam consists of two papers and the candidates have to qualify both the papers. UGC NET Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates who belong to General/General-EWS should have secured at least 55% marks and candidates who belong to OBC/SC/ST/PWD must secure at least 50% marks in Master’s Degree or any equivalent examination from a recognized university.
- Those who are still pursuing a Master’s degree can also apply for this NTA notification exam.
- A reservation of 5% relaxation will be given to Ph.D. degree holders for those who completed a Master’s degree by 19th September 1991.
Age Limit
- The upper age limit for the Junior Research Fellowship is 30 years as on 1st June 2020.
- Age relaxation is considered for 5 years for OBC/SC/ST/PWD categories and also for those who served in the armed forces.
- There is no upper age limit for the candidates who are applying for the Assistant Professor Posts.

The candidates who are interested in UGC National Eligibility Test Exam 2020 should check your eligibility before applying for the exam. Eligible candidates can start applying from 16th March 2020 through online mode. The last date of the online application for the NTA UGC NET Exam is 16th April 2020. No other mode of application form submissions is accepted. Any changes or corrections in the application form can be made between 18th April 2020 to 24th April 2020. Those candidates who applied for the exam will receive the admit cards on 15th May 2020. The exam dates fall between 15th June 2020 to 20th June 2020. - Download the Information Bulletin of NTA UGC NET Exam Notification PDF.
- Read the instructions and verify your eligibility details of UGC 2020 exam.
- Eligible candidates get your online registrations done.
- Fill in all the necessary details required in the application form.
- Upload the scanned photographs and signature in JPG/JPEG format.
- Carefully upload the photo and signature.
- Next, the application fee of the NTA UGC NET Exam should be paid.
- Download and save the application form of the NTA Exam 2020.
- Take a printout of the Confirmation Page for future correspondence.
Selection Process
- The mode of selection for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship under the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test 2020 is done by conducting Computer Based Test (CBT) only.
- The test comprises of two papers and the candidates have to qualify both the tests. Those candidates who have qualified the entrance test of UGC NET 2020 notification will be given admissions based on the cutoff score they secured in the National Testing Agency National Eligibility Test 2020.
