28% DA For Central Govt Employees: Gk Current Affairs 2021
Drought allowance (DA) for central government employees and drought relief (DR) for pensioners has been increased to 28 percent by the Indian government. The Cabinet has voted to increase the DA from 17 percent to 11 percent on basic salary. The government’s latest decision will help 48.34 lakh central government employees and 65.26 lakh, retirees. Three further DA and DR installments must be paid between January 1, 2021, and January 1, 2022. However, beginning January 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021, the DA and DR will be 17 percent. The increase will take effect on July 1, 2021, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur.

National AYUSH Mission Extended: Latest In Current Affairs
The continuation of the National AYUSH Mission was agreed upon by Union Minister Anurag Thakur and the Cabinet. Ancient and traditional medicinal systems will be promoted as part of the plan. In addition, the Cabinet has approved the name change from North Eastern Institute of Public Medicine to North Eastern Ayurveda. On September 15, 2014, the AYUSH Mission was inaugurated. Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs), and District Hospitals are all expected to provide Ayush services. The scheme will run from April 1, 2021, to March 31, 2026, and would cost Rs 4,607.30 crore. This project will establish AYUSH health centers, medical colleges, hospitals, and clinics.
