Indian Tennis Legend Coach Akhtar Ali Eyelid: Fast Current Affairs In English
Indian legendary tennis player Akhtar Ali (81) died. Akhtar Ali was born on July 5, 1939, and in 1955 he became the Junior National Champion. However, Akhtar Ali represented and commanded the Indian Davis Cup team from 1958 to 1964. Akhtar became the national squash champion in 1968. Akhtar passed away due to illness in Kolkata on February 7. In addition, Akhtar Ali bid farewell to the game and, from 1966 to 1993, coached the Indian team. Furthermore, in Malaysia (1968-1970; 1991-1993) and Belgium, Ali coached teams (1980-1984). The Indian team reached the Davis Cup final twice (1966, 1974) during his time as a coach and was a runner-up.
