Women’s Rights Activist Loujain Al-Hathloul Released: Today Free Current Affairs
Saudi authorities have released leading women’s rights activist Loujain Al-Hathloul, 31, after almost three years in jail. In May 2018, twelve other women were arrested, including Lozas, who has long been fighting to lift the ban on female drivers. Loujain, who was arrested under the Anti-Terrorism Act, was sentenced by the court to nearly six years in prison. However, The decision to lift the ban on female drivers in Saudi Arabia was exceptional.
The United Nations and world human rights organizations have also condemned her arrest. Both requested that Loujain should be released immediately by the Saudi government. The court ruled in March 2020 that the term will be shortened to two years and ten months. Loujain was, however, eventually freed after a thousand days in jail.

Additive Manufacturing Center: 12 February 2021 Current Affairs
In Hyderabad, the Additive Manufacturing Society of India (AMSI) agreed to create a National Additive Manufacturing Center (NCAM). This project is being organized by AMSI in collaboration with the Central Department of Electronics and IT. Additive Manufacturing (AM) is the development of industrial computer-based, large-scale 3D printing products. A workshop on Additive Manufacturing was also held recently by the State IT Department.
