Agreement For 1,300 Light Combat Vehicles: Latest In Current Affairs
The Indian Ministry of Defense has entered into an agreement with Mahindra Defense Systems Limited (MDSL) to buy 1,300 light combat vehicles. In the next four years, Mahindra plans to hand over the vehicles to the defense ministry. The Ministry of Defense will pay Rs 1,056 crore for these trucks. MDSL will design and manufacture light combat vehicles in the United States. Machine guns, automatic grenade launchers, and anti-tank guided missiles are carried by these light combat vehicles. The Ministry of Defence is purchasing these vehicles primarily for the Indian army’s protection. As a result, the Defense Ministry and MDSL reached an agreement to import war vehicles.

The Ministry of Jal Shakti has launched a 100-day campaign called “Catch the Rain” to promote the proper management of ponds and canals so that rainwater can be fully utilized. The event was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conference on March 22. As the monsoon season approaches, Modi told the serpents and ward members that the ponds and wells should be dug up, washed, and kept ready to store rainwater.
