Sahitya Akademi Award For Veerappa Moily: Free Current Affairs Of Today
The Sahitya Akademi Award was given to Veerappa Moily, a senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Karnataka. During the annual ‘Festival of Letters,’ the Sahitya Akademi Awards for the year 2020 were announced on March 12. Moily will be among the 20 people who will receive the award. Veerappa Moily received the award for his long Kannada poem ‘Sri Bahubali Ahimsa Digvijayam’ and his English collection of poems ‘When God’s a Traveler’ for poet Arundhati Subramanian. The Literary Academy Award went to seven poetry anthologies, four novels, five short stories, two plays, one long poem, and one biography.

The Central Government has agreed to organize the 75th Independence Day celebrations under the banner of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ on the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day. The festivities will take place in 75 different locations around the country for 75 weeks. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the celebrations on March 12 at the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The festivities will last until August 15, 2022. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the Walk from Sabarmati Ashram to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s historic invasion by Indian nationalists.
