DRDO Prepared DIPCOVAN Kit: Important Current Affairs For NTPC
Antibody Detection Kit “DIPCOVAN” has been developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). Both spike and nucleocapsid (S&N) proteins can be detected with the DIPCOVAN package. It has a sensitivity of 97 percent and a specificity of 99 percent for detecting antibody buildup in the body. Besides, The kit was developed in collaboration between the DRDO and Delhi-based Vanguard Diagnostics Pvt Ltd. This antibody detection kit has been authorized for sale and distribution by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI), the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), and the Health Ministry.
