Master Of Ayurveda Passed Away: Latest Current Affairs 2021
Dr. PK Warrier, eminent Ayurvedacharya and Managing Trustee of Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala passed away. PK was born at Kottakkal on June 5, 1921. During the Quit India Movement, he was drawn to the freedom movement and quit his studies. But, at the age of 24, he returned to school and became a trustee of KAS. Warrier advocated true Ayurvedic medicine as a physician. In 1999, Warrier received the Padma Shri, and in 2010, he received the Padma Bhushan. On the other hand, Warrier was instrumental in bringing Ayurveda to the world’s attention. He was also known in Kerala as the “Father of Ayurveda.” Warrier’s death was mourned by Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
