Educational Qualifications – HAL Technician Job 2026
- Diploma Technician (Mechanical/Civil): Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Engineering under 10+3 system with minimum 60% marks (UR/OBC/EWS) or 50% (SC/ST/PwBD).
- Technician (Electrical/Electroplater/Fitter/Heat Treatment/Machinist/Turner/Welder): 10th + NTC (ITI) + NAC or 10th + Direct 3 Years NAC in relevant trade with minimum 60% (UR/OBC/EWS) or 50% (SC/ST/PwBD).
- Diploma Technician (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical – Helicopter MRO): Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline under 10+3 system with required minimum marks (60% / 50%).
- Technician (Electrician/Fitter – Helicopter MRO): 10th + ITI (NTC) + NAC or 10th + Direct 3 Years NAC with required minimum marks.
- Security Guard: Ex-Servicemen with PUC/Intermediate or SSLC + 3 years military service. Computer knowledge & Driving License desirable.
- Fireman: Ex-Servicemen with PUC/Intermediate + Fire Fighting Certificate + Heavy Vehicle License OR SSLC + 3 years service + required certificates.
- Aircraft Technician (Airframe): Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Service Diploma (IAF/Army/Navy).
- Aircraft Technician (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Service Diploma (IAF/Army/Navy).

Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 28 years (for UR/EWS candidates)
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 years relaxation (maximum age 33 years).
- OBC: 3 years relaxation (maximum age 31 years).
- PwBD: 10 years relaxation (maximum age 38 years).
- Ex-Servicemen: Length of military service will be deducted from actual age; disabled Ex-Servicemen eligible up to 45 years (50 years for SC/ST, 48 years for OBC).
- Post-Qualification Experience: Relaxation up to 7 years (1 year per completed year of relevant experience), subject to a maximum age of 35 years.
- J&K Domicile: 5 years relaxation for candidates domiciled in J&K during 1980–1989.
- Ex-Apprentice: Apprenticeship training period will be considered for age relaxation.
