Educational Qualifications – SBI CBO Job 2026

Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification approved by the Central Government, including Integrated Dual Degree (IDD). Candidates with professional qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, or Cost Accountant are also eligible.

Selection Process

• Phase 1 – Online Exam: Objective test (120 marks, 2 hours) with sections: English, Banking Knowledge, GA/Economy, and Computer Aptitude, plus a Descriptive English test (50 marks, 30 minutes – Letter & Essay).
• Phase 2 – Screening: Eligibility and experience verification; candidates up to 3× vacancies shortlisted for interview.
• Phase 3 – Interview: 50 marks; minimum qualifying marks required.
• Phase 4 – Local Language Test: For provisionally selected candidates (exempted if studied the language in Class 10/12).
• Final Selection: Based on Online Exam and Interview with 75:25 weightage.

Note: No negative marking and no sectional cut-off.

Salary/Stipend

The starting basic pay is ₹48,480 in the pay scale of ₹48,480–2,000/7–62,480–2,340/2–67,160–2,680/7–85,920 applicable to JMGS-I, along with two advance increments. In addition, the officer will be entitled to DA, HRA/Lease Rental, CCA, PF, NPS, LFC, medical benefits, and other allowances and perquisites as per prevailing rules.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 21 years (born on or before 31.12.2004)
• Maximum Age: 30 years (born on or after 01.01.1996)

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
• PwBD: 15 years (SC/ST), 13 years (OBC), 10 years (Gen/EWS)
• Ex-Servicemen: 5 years

Note: Age relaxation is not cumulative and cannot be combined with any other category.

• Application fee once paid is non-refundable and cannot be carried forward to any other examination or selection.
• Fee payment must be made online using debit card, credit card, or internet banking.

Steps to Apply for SBI CBO Recruitment 2026

• Candidates can apply online only from 29.01.2026 to 18.02.2026; no other mode of application is accepted.
• Applicants must have a valid email ID and mobile number, which should remain active until the final result declaration.
• Visit the official SBI careers page and access the Online Application Form under “Current Openings.”
• Fill in the application carefully and submit it only after verifying all details.
• Pay the application fee through the integrated online payment gateway using debit card, credit card, or internet banking.
• After successful payment, an e-receipt and completed application form will be generated; candidates should download and print them for future reference.
• Before applying, keep scanned copies of photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration, and all required documents (ID proof, DOB proof, job profile, resume, educational and experience certificates, Form-16, salary slips) ready as per specifications.
• Call letters for the online exam and interview must be downloaded online using registration number and password/date of birth; no hard copy will be sent by post.
• Candidates appearing for the exam/interview must carry a valid photo ID proof (Passport/Aadhaar/PAN/Driving Licence/Voter ID/Bank Passbook) in original along with a self-attested photocopy.
