Uttarakhand CM Resigned: Latest In Current Affairs

Tirat Singh, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, has resigned. Following the resignation of Trivendra Singh Rawat on March 10, this year, Tirat Singh became the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. Nadda told him he needed to quit because he couldn’t be elected as an MLA in six months, as required by the Representatives Act of 1951. In the Lok Sabha, Tirat Singh currently represents Pauri Garhwal. Then, by the 10th of September, Tirath Singh Rawat had to become a member of the Legislative Assembly in order to keep his position. Sirisha Banda, who is of Indian descent, will be sent into space as part of Virgin Galactic’s “Virgin Space Mission” program. As part of the Virgin Space Mission project, the spacecraft will be launched from New Mexico in the United States on July 11, 2021. Virgin Galactic was granted a license to fly passengers into space by the US Federal Aviation Administration on June 25, 2021. Two pilots, Virgin Galactic CEO Richard Bronces, and three other corporate representatives accompanied the carrier. This is the Virgin Galactic’s fourth spaceflight.

Devendra Jhajharia, an Indian Paralympian, has achieved a new world record and qualified for the Paralympic Games in Tokyo. However, Devendra, from Rajasthan, won gold medals in the 2004 Athens Olympics and the 2016 Rio Olympics, becoming the first Indian athlete to win two gold medals in the Paralympics. On June 30, Devendra qualified for the Javelin Throw F-46 division with a throw of 65.71 meters in New Delhi. With a distance of 63.97 meters, he smashed his own world record. For the third time, Devendra Jhajharia will compete in the Paralympic Games.

Amir Hayat and Ashfaq Ahmed of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been banned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for match-fixing with Indian players. Both were unanimously sentenced to an eight-year ban. Both of them will face penalties beginning September 13, 2020. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has been intensifying its anti-corruption drive in recent years, and some players have been banned as a result. The deal was made to fix the match against the qualifying round in the T20 World Cup 2019, according to Alex Marshall, general manager of the ICC‘s Integrity Unit. Sumit Malik, a Commonwealth Games winner, and an Indian wrestler has been suspended for doping. The Indian wrestler qualified for the Tokyo Olympics by competing in the 125 kg freestyle category at the World Olympic Qualifiers held in Sofia last month. He was, however, suspended after doping tests indicated that he had used banned drugs during the competition. At the 2017 Asian Championships in New Delhi and the Commonwealth Games in Johannesburg, he finished second and won silver medals. In 2018, the Government of India presented him with the Sports Award ‘Arjuna‘. Sumit has been banned for two years by the World Wrestling Union (WWU).
