Executive Directors: Today GK Affairs
With effect from January 3, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has appointed Deepak Kumar and Ajay Kumar Choudhary as new executive directors (EDs). Before being promoted to ED, Deepak Kumar was the head of the RBI’s information technology department, while Ajay Choudhary was the Chief General Manager-in-Charge, Department of Supervision. Kumar has spent over three decades in the RBI’s central office departments, where he was responsible for policymaking and project management in areas such as information technology, cyber security, payment systems, currency management, human resource management, banking supervision, and foreign exchange management. Choudhary has worked at the Reserve Bank’s Central Office and Regional Offices for the last three decades, in areas such as supervision, regulation, currency management, payments and settlements, and other sectors.

World Day of War Orphans: 06 January 2022 Current Affairs
On January 6, the World Day of War Orphans is observed to raise awareness about the condition of children who have lost their parents as a result of violence. Children are one of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable populations in any war. Several awareness programs are held on World War Orphans Day to raise awareness about the suffering that orphaned children face. International Yoga Academy: Today Current Affairs in English
Sarbananda Sonowal, the Union Minister for Ayush, has set the cornerstone for the Heartfulness International Yoga Academy in Hyderabad, Telangana. As part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, he also announced a 75-crore suryanamaskar program. The school will use training programs to reach out to people from all walks of life, and they will be monitored by an international staff. This academy has therapeutic Yoga rooms for consultations, one-on-one training spaces, or small group classes, pre-natal Yoga rooms, a lecture hall with 200 seating capacity, a full-fledged recording studio with editing suites for pre-recorded wellness programs namely a recording Yoga hall fully equipped for Live online Yoga Classes.
