On 07th September, Bhupender Yadav, the Union Minister for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, virtually launched India’s first smog pollution tower in Anand Vihar metro station, New Delhi. It is thought to be capable of cleaning 1,000 cubic meters of air per second and making an area of one square kilometer more breathable. The filtering system of the smog tower was designed by the University of Minnesota and is expected to have a 90% efficiency.
