National Award for Singareni: Latest In Current Affairs
Singareni Thermal Power Station earned a national award for using flyash at a rate of over 100%. At an international conference organized by Mission Energy Foundation in Goa, Singareni Director (E&M) D. Satyanarayana Rao received the award from Foundation Director Manoj Kumar. After competing against nearly 150 firms, Singareni won the competition. O n the other hand, Singareni shipped about 17 lakh tonnes of fly ash to cement plants in 2020-21. The Tamil Nadu ACC Cements Company has signed a contract for this purpose.

Bharat Pannu, an Indian Army lieutenant colonel, set two new Guinness World Records. In October 2020, Guinness World Records announced that the fastest solo cyclist had set a new record. He cycled 472 kilometers from Leh to Manali in just 35 hours and 25 minutes in 2020.
