Green Grids Initiative: Today Current Affairs

On the 13th of October, R. K. Singh, the Minister of Power, New and Renewable Energy delivered a speech at the Green Grids Initiative-One Sun, One World, One Grid, Northwest Europe Cooperative Event. The country’s first ‘One Health‘ collaboration has been formed by the Department of Biotechnology. The goal of this initiative is to keep track of significant bacterial, viral, and parasite illnesses caused by zoonotic and transboundary pathogens in India. Dr. Renu Swarup, Secretary of, Department of Biotechnology, stated that the Consortium, which includes 27 organizations, is one of the largest single health projects undertaken by the Indian government post-COVID. Sunil Chhetri, India’s star, blasted a loose ball just after the hour mark in the 62nd minute to give the team a boost. With a looping header in the 71st minute, he doubled his score. Champions for the seventh time In the title match on 16th October, India will face Nepal, a first-time finalist. Captain Chhetri was named man of the match after helping India reach the tournament final for the seventh time in a row. With his two goals, Chhetri has surpassed Brazilian great Pele and is now only one goal shy of Lionel Messi’s record of 80 international goals.

President on 2-day Visit to Ladakh: Today GK Affairs

On October 14th, the President will lay a wreath at the Kargil War Memorial in Drass, for which he also serves as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. Senior Army officers will update him on the Kargil battle. Mr. Kovind will also mingle with the troops at the war memorial. The President will celebrate Dussehra with Jawans in Drass. Beginning on October 14, President Ram Nath Kovind will go to Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir for a two-day visit. Mr. Kovind will be greeted by a Guard of Honour at the Leh airport before heading to Sindhu Ghat for Sindhu Darshan. He’ll be in Leh for the second time. In the evening, Mr. Kovind would meet with troops in Udhampur, Jammu, and Kashmir.
