On the 18th of June 2021, a two-day naval exercise between India and three European Union states began in the Gulf of Aden. The European Union’s anti-piracy campaign off the coast of Somalia is known as EUNAVFOR (European Union Naval Force Somalia). ‘EUNAVFOR,’ a combined naval exercise involving five warships from four navies, has begun. The goal of this exercise is to improve operational interoperability while also promoting peace, security, and stability in main waterways. The Indian Navy’s INS Trikand, a guided-missile frigate on a mission to combat piracy, is taking part in the exercise. India has risen to the position of 135th most peaceful countries in the world and 5th in South Asia. Bangladesh is also the third most peaceful country in South Asia and the 91st in the world. New Zealand is in second place, followed by Denmark, Portugal, and Slovenia in third, fourth, and fifth place, respectively.

Flying Sikh Passed Away: Important Current Affairs For Today
Milkha Singh also known as the Flying Sikh, was an Indian runner. He was born in Govindpura, Punjab, Pakistan, on November 20, 1932. In 1951, Milkha Singh joined the Indian Army and placed sixth in an Army-run race. Later, he became an athlete and spent 9 years in Secunderabad training. He went on to win gold at the Commonwealth Games in 1958. He went on to win four gold medals at the Asian Games in Tokyo in 1958 and Jakarta in 1962. At the 1960 Rome Olympics, he finished fourth in the 400 meters. In 1959, the Indian government awarded the Padma Shri to him. Nirmal Kaur, Milkha Singh’s wife, died on June 14 after battling the coronavirus.
