SCO Exercise Peaceful Mission 2021: Latest in Current Affairs
The sixth round of the SCO Exercise Peaceful Mission 2021 commenced in the Orenburg Region of Southwest Russia. The exercise’s purpose is to improve military commanders’ capacity to command multinational armed forces and improve relations between SCO member states from September 13 to 25. An Indian military presence, consisting of an all-arms combined force of 200 men from the Indian Army and Indian Air Force, is taking part in the exercise. An impressive parade of all the participating parties opened on 20 September. Troops will train, share, and rehearse tactical drills over the next four days, culminating in a final validation exercise.
‘SURYA KIRAN’ Commences: 21 September 2021 Current Affairs
SURYA KIRAN, the 15th India-Nepal combined battalion-level military training exercise, began 20th September in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. It will run till the 3rd of October. FSSAI’s 3rd State Food Safety Index: Current Affairs 2021
Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India FSSAI’s 3rd State Food Safety Index to encourage states to work together to provide safe food for citizens. The index measures states’ performance across five food safety categories. For their outstanding achievement, the Minister recognized nine leading States and UT’s based on the rating for the year 2020-21. Gujarat was the highest-ranking state among the major states this year, followed by Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Goa was first among the smallest states, followed by Meghalaya and Manipur. Jammu and Kashmir, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and New Delhi topped the list of UTs.

Akhada Parishad Narendra Giri Passed Away: Today Current Affairs
