In the Lok Sabha, the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Management Bill 2021 were passed. Pashupati Kumar Paras, the Minister of Food Processing and Industry, introduced the bill. Institutes of Food Technology have been given the designation of Institute of National Priority under this bill. The Rajya Sabha had approved this bill by voice vote earlier in March. National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management at Kundli, Haryana, and National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, would be able to meet worldwide standards. However, These institutions would have the same status as IITs and IMMs.
The Factoring Regulation Amendment Bill 2021: Gk Affairs
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman‘s Factoring Regulation (Amendment) Bill 2021 was passed by the Loksabha. She stated that some changes were made in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises sector’s best interests. With this bill, the process of selling and buying elements from one entity to another has been simplified. The definition of a factoring business, which covers banks, non-banking financial companies, and any other business organization, has been simplified by this bill. Indian Navy Chief Attends 35th Russian Navy Day Celebrations
On July 25, Indian Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh will travel to Russia to participate in Russia’s Navy Day celebrations. The tour is also expected to include a meeting with Soviet Navy Chief Admiral Nikolai Yemenov. The Russian Navy will commemorate its 35th anniversary with parades in St Petersburg and Kronstadt, while the Indian Navy will be represented by the MiG-29K (which is already in the Indian Navy’s control) and the Sukhoi-22, as well as other planes and helicopters. Following the air show, parades will take place in additional cities, including Vladivostok in the far east and Sebastopol in Crimea. National web portal for sharing R&D facilities I-STEM enters Phase-II
The Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi formally launched the Indian Science Technology and Engineering Facilities Map (I-STEM), a national web network for sharing R&D facilities, in January 2020. The Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India (PSA, GOI) has launched I-STEM (www.istem.gov.in) as part of the Prime Minister Science, Technology and Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC) program. The I-STEM project has been given a five-year extension until 2026, and it is now entering its second phase with new features. The purpose of I-STEM is to boost the country’s R&D ecosystem by connecting researchers with resources and, in part, by encouraging the creation of indigenous innovations and scientific equipment.

Momiji Nishiya, a 13-year-old Japanese athlete who is one of the youngest players to compete in these Olympic Games, won gold. She was just 13 years and 330 days old when she won gold. This accomplishment was accomplished by Nishia in a street skateboarding competition. She is also the Olympics’ youngest athlete and the first Japanese player to win a gold medal at such a young age. Nishiya is also the first skateboarding athlete to earn a gold medal. Previously, American diver Marjorie Gestring held the record for the youngest gold medalist in Olympic history. Rysa Leal, a 13-year-old Brazilian, took silver in the competition.
