SIDB Agreed To Assist MSMEs In the State: Daily Current Affairs Of February 2021
In order to promote the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the state, the Small Industries Development Bank (SIDB) has taken initiation. SIDBI will provide free services such as district-wise and product-wise MSME cluster development. It also creates opportunities for market growth in existing units. However, A Project Management Unit (PMU) will be developed in the state. Moreover, consulting services are made available to MSMEs at no cost.
It will also provide resources for MSMEs on topics such as technology lending and utilization. An action plan to support the large-scale MSME sector is also being planned by the state and the central government.
International Cruise Terminal Sagarika Inaugurated: 19 February 2021 Current Affairs
The Kochi Sagarika International Cruise Terminal was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It will be the first fully operated international cruise terminal in India. Captain Satish Sharma Passed Away: Free Current Affairs For Jobs
Captain Satish Sharma, 73, a former Union Minister and senior Congress official, died in Goa. Satish Sharma was similar to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. He was born in Secunderabad, Telangana, on October 11, 1947. He served as Minister of the Union in the PV Narashima Rao government from 1993 to 1996. Elected by Amethi, Rae Bareli, three times to Lok Sabha. He has served three times as a member of the Rajya Sabha. Satish Sharma was a trained commercial pilot before going into politics.
His political career started with a member of the Rajya Sabha in June 1986. He was one of the most trusted of Rajiv’s men. In total, six times he was an MP, i.e. three terms in Lok Sabha and three terms in Rajya Sabha.

Product Integrated Incentive (PLI) Scheme: Gk Current Affairs For Today
A Product Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme worth Rs 12,195 crore has been approved by the central government to improve the production of telecommunication equipment in India. This scheme provides jobs for 40,000 persons, directly or indirectly. The plan will be put into practice from 1 April onwards. IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said India aims to encourage the PLI method of telecom equipment manufacturers implemented in central communication.
However, over the next five years, the production of telecommunications equipment will be worth Rs 2.44 lakh crore. Promoting Made-in-India gear and networking devices is the main aim of the implementation.

Former Captain Faf Duplessis of South Africa (36) has announced his retirement from Test Cricket. On limited-overs cricket, especially T20s, he would focus more. In 69 Tests for South Africa, Duplessis scored 4163 runs. 10 centuries and 21 fifties are counted in his career. He stepped down from last year’s Test and T20 captaincy. South Africa won 18 of Duplessis’s 36 Tests captaincy. So far, he has played 143 ODIs and 50 T20 matches.
However, After the bad performance in the World Cup 2019, Faf du Plessis was dismissed by the South Africa board as the ODI team captain. He resigned later for the T20 and the Test captaincy. Finally, no test would be played by Duplessis.

First Route Of Water Metro Project: Today Latest Current Affairs
Kerala’s Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, unveiled the Kochi Water Metro’s first route and terminal. The 1st water metro subway route goes from Vyttila to Kakinada. The Kochi Water Subway Project’s first phase is 520 kilometers long. In addition, the Integrated Urban Regeneration and Water Transport System’ (IURWT) project was also initiated by the CM. The IURWT project is an initiative of the Interconnected Urban Regeneration and Water Transport Scheme.
Activities such as river cleaning, bank safety, dredging and digging, sewerage, and sewage treatment plants will be eliminated under the IURWT scheme. Rs 1,418 crore is the total cost of the project.
