AP New Election Commissioner: Daily Gk Current Affairs
Neelam Sahni is the newly appointed Election Commissioner of AP state, previously served as the Chief Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh. From November 15, 2019, to December 2020, Neelam Sahni, an IAS officer from the 1984 batch, served as the Chief Secretary (CS) of the State Government. Currently, the Chief Minister serves as the Cabinet’s Chief Advisor. On March 26, state governor Vishwabhushan Harichandan approved the position. By the time the SEC takes office, she will have to resign from her position. Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, the state’s current chief election commissioner, will leave office on March 31.

On March 26, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Dhaka, Bangladesh’s capital, for a two-day visit. At the Bangabandhu Centenary celebrations, President Abdul Hameed, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and Modi were honored guests. Bangladesh’s 50th Independence Day was also commemorated at Dhaka’s National Parade Square. The late Sheikh Mujibur Rahman daughters Sheikh Rehana and Sheikh Hasina received the Gandhi Peace Prize-2020 on behalf of Rahman, which was declared by the Government of India. Modi also mentioned the Indian Army’s role in the fight for Bangladesh’s independence.
UK Parliament Award for ‘Utho’: Today Latest Current Affairs
Hema Ellapragada of Warangal has been named for the ‘UK Parliament Week Activity of the Year’ Award. Hema is the head of the United Kingdom Telugu Hindu Organization (UTHO). The award was given in appreciation of a campaign to include Telugu in the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE), which was recognized by the Parliament. Hema arrived in the United Kingdom fifteen years ago and settled down with her family. Many Indian languages, such as Gujarati, Hindi, Tamil, and Punjabi, are taught as part of the GCSE curriculum in those schools. Telugu does not have a place in the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE). As a result, Hema started a campaign to include Telugu as well.

28th Convergence India-2021: Latest Current Affairs 2021
The 6th Smart Cities India Expo and the 28th Convergence India-2021 International Exhibition were held in Delhi.
