India’s First Helicopter Summit: Top Current Affairs
Helicopter- Summit 2019 was held on 8th September 2019 at Dehradun. This summit was organized by the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries. The main agenda of this event is Expanding Connectivity through Aviation. Uttarkhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat introduced a Regional connectivity scheme i.e Udan Yojana. Under, this scheme all the people of Uttarakhand state will get subsidy for flight bookings. Helicopter services are most needed in the Uttarakhand because all the regions are located far and taking so much time to travel. So, Trivendra has announced an Udan Yojana Scheme to provide Subsidy.
First Women Pilot In India: Anupriya Lakra
Anupriya Lakra is the 1st women pilot from the tribal region. She belongs to Malkangiri place, which is in Odisha. Anupriya is the only lady reached from tribal women to pilot at the age of 23 years. She got the license for flying commercial flights. Odisha Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik has congratulated on her success. Tribals will not have any schools or colleges in the forests. She kept the strong goal to become the pilot and created a record in the world. She became the role model for the other ladies to become the pilot. SLINEX is abbreviated as Srilanka India Naval Exercise. Srilanka and India are conducting Naval exercises from 7th Sep 2019 to 14th Sep 2019. Sindhurala and Surinamala are the Srilankan ships that are entered into the Visakhapatnam to practice the bilateral maritime exercise. These exercises will strengthen the two country Naval forces. The main exercise in this event is helicopter operations. Nearly 325 Srilanka Naval officers are attending these exercise including Flag commanding officer.
