Selection Process
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): A single or multi-stage CBT may be conducted as per Railway Administration requirements. Negative marking of 1/3rd applies for wrong answers. Marks will be normalized if conducted in multiple sessions.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates shortlisted at 3 times the number of vacancies based on CBT merit will be called for PET.
- Document Verification & Medical Exam: Candidates qualifying PET will be shortlisted in a 1:1 ratio for DV and the Medical Examination.
- Admit Cards: All exam-related intimation, including City & Date, e-Call Letters, and Travel Pass (if eligible), must be downloaded from the official RRB/RRC websites.
- Additional Calls: Extra candidates may be called at various stages to manage absences, but qualifying all stages does not guarantee final appointment.
Salary
The Level 1 posts under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix offer a salary of ₹18,000 per month, along with all applicable government allowances.
Age Limit
For the RRB Group D Recruitment 2025, the standard age limit for Level-1 posts is 18 to 33 years as of 01.01.2025. However, for this cycle, the upper age limit has been relaxed to 36 years, providing a one-time relaxation of 3 years for candidates who lost opportunities during the Covid-19 pandemic.
