Educational Qualifications – RRB Technician Job 2026

Technician Grade I Signal

Candidates must possess a B.Sc. in Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / IT / Instrumentation or Degree / Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

Technician Grade III

Candidates must have passed 10th / Matriculation along with ITI from NCVT / SCVT in the relevant trade or Act Apprenticeship in the concerned trade.

Selection Process

As per the RRB Technician Recruitment Notification, candidates for the above-mentioned posts will be selected based on the following stages:

• Computer Based Test (CBT)
• Document Verification
• Medical Examination

Salary

As per the RRB Technician Recruitment Notification, the selected candidates will receive the following salary:

• Technician Grade I Signal: ₹29,200 per month (Pay Level 5)
• Technician Grade III: ₹19,900 per month (Pay Level 2)
• In addition to the basic pay, candidates will also receive allowances such as DA, HRA, TA, and other benefits as per Railway rules.

Age Limit

As per the RRB Technician Recruitment Notification, the age limit is as follows:

• Technician Grade I Signal: 18 to 36 years
• Technician Grade III: 18 to 33 years
