2020 Kuvempu National Award: Top 10 Current Affairs
Dr. Rajendra Kishore Panda, an Odisha poet, has been chosen for the 2020 Kuvempu National Award. The prize is granted annually to a writer who has contributed to any of the Indian Constitution’s official languages. Dr. Panda is an Odisha poet and novelist. Besides, He has 16 poetry collections and books to his account. In 2010, he received the Gangadhar Award, and in 1985, he received the Sahitya Akademi Award. Prof. Hampa Nagarajaya presided over the meeting of the committee and Panda was picked as the winner of the prize. However, It is a national prize named after the Indian poet Kuvempu. The prize will be handed on December 29 in Kuppalli, Kuvempu’s birthplace in Shimoga district, to mark his birth anniversary.
