PGI Index 2019-20: Daily Current Affairs For Today
The Performance Grading Index 2019-20 for states and union territories was issued by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. In 2017-18, the Performance Grading Index ( PGI ) was first published. This index encourages states and union territories to attain the targeted educational outcomes. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands, as well as Odisha, have improved by at least 20%. Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Odisha have all improved by more than 10%. The best performers this time were the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. Sir Anirudh Jugnauth, the former President and Prime Minister of Mauritius, has died. Jugnauth, who was born on March 29, 1930, was one of the country’s most notable people and recognized leaders. Anirudh Jugnauth, a lawyer by profession, began his political career in 1963 when he was elected to the Legislative Council. From 2003 to 2012, Jugnauth was the President of Mauritius. From 1982 to 2017, he was Prime Minister six times. In addition, in 2020, he received the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian honor.
