Padma Awards: Free Current Affairs of Today

Shri Sant Dnyaneshawar Maharaj Palkhi Marg: Today Latest Current Affairs
On 08th November at 3.30 p.m., Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the four-laning of five sections of Shri Sant Dnyaneshawar Maharaj Palkhi Marg (NH-965) and three sections of Shri Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Marg (NH-965G) via video conferencing. It is an effort to make it easier for devotees to travel to Pandharpur, Maharastra. Palkhi-specific walkways will be installed on both sides of key National Highways, making it easier and safer for devotees to go. Roughly 221 kilometers of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Marg from Diveghat to Mohol, and about 130 kilometers of Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Marg from Patas to Tyndale – Bondale, will be four-laned, with dedicated walkways for ‘Palkhi’ on either side, at estimated costs of over 6,690 crore rupees and around 4,400 crore rupees, respectively.
